For almost 50 years, Sam’s Italian Deli & Market has been a Valley favorite. Our family deli and market offers customers an authentic Italian experience, with a full service kitchen and deli counter serving award-winning hot and cold sandwiches, delicious Italian dishes, fresh house-made pasta, and event catering. Nick’s Wine Corner features a huge selection of imported and domestic wine. Our Italian Market features a unique selection of imported Italian and gourmet specialty products, including Sam’s Italian Deli Market & Angela's Kitchen premium lines.
In 1976, the Marziliano family moved from Toronto to Fresno where they opened Sam’s Market, a local neighborhood grocery store. Angie used a hot plate in the back of the market to cook delicious meals for their hardworking staff. Noticing the incredible aroma coming from the kitchen, customers began asking if they could purchase this delicious food. That was the beginning of Sam's Italian Deli & Market.
Sam & Angie made a great team. With a gift for making customers feel like family, Sam handled the front of the house while Angie was behind the scenes creating the delicious dishes Sam's has become famous for. Sam & Angie believed the key to a successful business was to make customers happy by providing a quality product, great service and listening to what the customers want. The family tradition continues today. Son Nick manages the thriving business, and Angie & daughter Carmella can often be found working side-by-side in the kitchen. What started as a small neighborhood market has grown into a family legacy and a Central Valley tradition.
