Shipping & Local Delivery:
We offer shipping to locations throughout the State of California. Standard shipping charges are based on the total weight of order and are intended to cover shipping costs incurred. A special packaging fee is charged on perishable food items to cover the cost of packaging material.
We offer local delivery in the Fresno/Clovis area to zip codes that fall within our local delivery zone: 93611, 93612, 93619, 93650, 93701, 93702, 93703, 93704, 93705, 93706, 93710, 93711, 93720, 93721, 93722, 93724, 93725, 93726, 93727, 93728, 93730. Local delivery is available Tuesdays from 12PM-5:30PM, Wednesday-Friday from 10:30AM-5:30PM and Saturday from 10:30AM-4:30PM. We are closed Sunday, Monday and all major holidays. Local delivery is not available on those days.
Catering items are only available for Local Delivery to deliverable zip codes within the Fresno/Clovis area or in-store pick-up. We do not ship catering items out of town.
Local Delivery & Shipping Rates:
- FREE Local Delivery on all orders over $450.
- $35 Local Delivery is available on orders between $200-$450. Delivery fees are taxable. Tax is included in quoted delivery rate.
- Catering orders under $200 must be picked up in-store. Local Delivery is not available on orders under $200.
- Local orders under $200 that do not include catering items are available for in-store pick-up or next day delivery using GLS or a local shipper. Rates will be quoted in shopping cart at the time of purchase.
We use GLS and UPS for shipments throughout the State of California that do not fall within our Local Delivery area. GLS is used to ship all orders that include perishable food items to ensure next day delivery. All shipping rates are based on total package weight and will be quoted in the shopping cart at the time of purchase.
GLS Ground provides next day delivery throughout California. Order must be received by 10AM in order to guarantee same day shipping to allow for time for order fulfillment and packaging. Orders received after 10AM will be processed as soon as possible but we cannot guarantee same day shipping.
UPS® Ground gives you cost-effective, guaranteed ground delivery within one to five business days.
We do not ship to P.O. Boxes. You must enter a valid California street address to display shipping options or select in-store pick-up.
Perishable food is shipped via GLS to ensure overnight delivery. In addition to the shipping charge, a $15 fee per 15 lb. box is charged on perishable food orders to cover special packaging material. This includes ice-gel packs, insulated wrap and other packaging material to ensure items arrive fresh. Some perishable items, such as lasagna, are shipped frozen. Shipping quotes are estimated based on the weight of item when frozen.
Gift cards are delivered electronically to the email address provided at the time of purchase. Gift cards can be forwarded to the intended recipient or downloaded and printed out to be used for purchases made in our store or online at www.samsitaliandeli.com. Each gift card is assigned a unique ID number and 4-digit PIN which must be entered when making a purchase using the gift card. Gift cards are treated like cash but are not redeemable for cash. The value of the gift card will not be replaced if the gift card is lost or stolen.
We are open Tuesday-Saturday. We are closed Sunday, Monday and all major holidays. Orders received on Sunday or Monday will be processed the following Tuesday. Orders received on holidays will be processed the following business day.
Deli Counter items are sliced to order to ensure freshness. We require a 24-hour lead time on all market and deli counter orders to allow our staff time to slice and package fresh food items. We do not offer same day delivery.
Catering: We require an 18-hour lead time on all catering orders to allow time for food preparation.
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, damaged or broken product, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
